Milestones was created to provide practical information for educators, ABA practitioners, and private practices. We have put together a well-organized and easy to use platform with the necessary tools and supports to provide children with special needs the best possible care. Our mission is to revolutionize behavioral health to provide the highest quality care for what matters most, our patients. 

We are committed to sharing the latest in evidenced based practices and clinical experience. At Milestone’s, our goal is to create a comfortable platform where we could facilitate educators and ABA practitioners with all the resources to run research-based, effective, and ethical programs, all while allowing the flexibility to customize and meet specific needs. 

The four of us work in the frontlines helping children with autism and other special needs receive the highest quality evidenced based services. We pride ourselves in providing proven interventions and a comprehensive and an individualized treatment plan. We are committed and strive to help you make a positive difference in a child’s life.

Co-Founder

ANA LAURA MAGANA

Ana “Laura” Magana received her masters of science degree in counseling psychology and completed her coursework to become a Behavior Analyst. She has over 18 years of experience working with a wide range of patients with Autism with mild symptoms to individuals with severe and challenging behaviors. Her focus has been teaching in the individual’s natural environment and centering on functional skills. Laura has also worked for school districts providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services to children with special needs. She has consulted for school districts and provided trainings to school psychologist, teachers, and paraprofessionals. In addition, Laura has been formally trained by Yale’s Center for Emotional Intelligence and currently provides trainings on the implementation of Emotional Intelligence in preschools. Her expertise includes providing professional counseling services to children, individuals, couples, and families. Her approach to counseling is to provide a gentle and safe environment while working collaboratively with her clients to meet their established goals.

Miguel MAGANA

Miguel A. Magaña began his career as a behavior therapist proving ABA therapy to kids with autism. He has worked for large nonprofit organizations providing mental health services to emotionally disturbed children in clinic and school settings. Miguel understands the importance of parent involvement being key component to children’s success, and has provided parent trainings to improve families with co-parenting experience. His experience providing mental health services has been assisting clients gain insight into personal problems by defining goals and objectives of therapy while treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, oppositional defiant behavior, panic disorders and other relational problems in the community and in school settings. Furthermore, Miguel is a big believer in early interventions and has gained extensive experience utilizing the HELP assessment to detect early developmental delays in children 0-3 years old. Miguel also provides consultation services for early start programs and parent trainings. Miguel has been a Professional Crisis Management Instructor since 2013. Recently, Miguel has been trained by Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, and he currently is in the process to becoming a Brain Health Coach at Dr. Daniel Amen’s Clinic. Miguel holds an associate of science in Human Biology, a Bachelor of Arts Psychology, and Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. He is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and an Associate and Marriage Family Therapist..

SAUL GONZAGA

Saul Gonzaga obtained his bachelor’s in psychology and his master’s in special education. Saul also completed the coursework for mild/moderate and moderate/severe credentials while completing his masters. Saul has experience working as a behavior technician, a special education teacher, and a behavior analyst. Over the past 15 years, Saul has worked in home settings, residential placements, center-based settings, community settings, and school settings providing services to children, adolescents, and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Saul has developed an early start program, an early intervention behavior training program, and has established an ABA agency. He has collaborated with school districts in developing classroom-wide programs using positive behavior supports and evidence-based strategies. He has also assisted school districts in performing Functional Behavior Assessment, developing Behavior Intervention Plans, and participating in Individualized Education Program.
